Why choose a TAPS apprenticeship?

When you become a TAPS apprentice, you are employed by us and placed with one of our trusted employers, giving you the opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople while receiving ongoing support from our dedicated teams.

What is a Group Training Organisation?

Six things every TAPS apprentice gets.

Real world experience from the start

As a TAPS apprentice, you'll be employed by us and matched with a Host Employer where you'll gain real-world, hands-on experience. Working alongside qualified tradespeople, you'll build practical skills, earn while you learn, and develop the experience needed to succeed in your trade.

Earn while you learn

Why wait until you graduate to start earning? As a TAPS apprentice, you'll receive a weekly wage while gaining real-world experience and completing your apprenticeship.

Support every step

At TAPS, you're never on your own. From organising your employment and trade school to providing PPE, payroll support, and regular check-ins, we're here to help throughout your apprenticeship.

A nationally recognised qualification

Complete your apprenticeship and earn a nationally recognised qualification that's respected by employers across Australia, giving you the skills and credentials to build a successful career in your chosen trade.

Flexible training options

Learn both on the job and in the classroom. You'll gain valuable industry experience with your Host Employer while building your technical knowledge through trade school.

Job security

Skilled tradespeople are always in demand. By completing your apprenticeship, you'll gain the practical experience and nationally recognised qualification needed to build a stable, rewarding career with strong long-term employment opportunities.
